OK... this blog is not just about Rights... it's about Truth. Whether you are a proponent or an opponent of gun control is irrelevant to the facts.

The Founders didn't leave any blanks in the chamber...
and we want to point out that when a person, especially a constitutional lawyer, a special Interest mouth piece, a politician or some other gadfly that's making a specious living form arguing moot points tells you that the founders didn't REALLY mean what the Constitution says and that citizens DON'T REALLY have a Right to bear arms, well that person is
either is LYING or they are a SHAM!
If the latter then they probably don't know enough about the Constitution in general and therefore shouldn't even be listened to in that regard. If they are a government official, they should probably be relieved of their duties for negligence.
The founding background texts are numerous.
In reality humans don't have many rights. Most of modern man's gripes about said rights stems from a lack of tolerance for reality, a confusion about positive and negative rights and a chronic assumed entitlement mentality. You can't call something a Right if it entails taking from another by force because the term Right becomes rather meaningless in the process. Along with your own consciousness and Habeas Corpus, the right of self defense is a keystone right and an integral element of freedom. To protect one's life and limb when another human or frothing group of humans is violating you or your own property is inarguably a Right! The founders knew this, clear and simple. That there should be any doubt in the minds of Americans stems from years of bombastic debate from people that clearly think this is not a Right, but the Founders were crystal.
If you think, because times have changed it has become irrelevant or un-needed then start at that point and premise. Don't argue that the Second Amendment doesn't mean what it states and is just convoluted. All one has to do is read past the constitution into many, easily accessible writings. Thanks to THE FRAMERS YOU HAVE every RIGHT to Disagree with even them and any of the other influential Philosophers of FREEDOM that influenced them. Proper regulation might be needed and important, but don't be confused, since the founding and still at this time WE DO have a RIGHT to Bear ARMS... and we should because...
